A man with epilepsy, whose name has not been reported, was held in a single cell at Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles in March 2024. According to WitnessLA's jail sources, he had a seizure alone in his cell, struck his head, and was found dead when staff later checked on him. Those sources said he had asked for a seizure helmet and never received one, and that his anti-seizure medication was not given consistently.
