A 15-year-old boy, the son of Peter Lonin, was held in an Alabama jail in August 1899. According to a dispatch datelined Wetumpa, Alabama, and published in the Akron Daily Democrat on August 22, 1899, a mob of masked men took him from the jail and killed him. The date of death is given as August 1899.
