A man held in the jail in the Arlington, Georgia, area was taken from the jail by a mob, hanged, and shot many times, according to the Perrysburg Journal, which reported it on June 2, 1894. His name and the date of the killing are not given. The paper does not say how the mob got in, or whether jailers resisted or handed him over.
