Died in prison

A man held at the Northeast Ohio Correctional Center, a private prison on Youngstown's East Side, died on May 27, 2025. CoreCivic, which operates the prison, said he was found unresponsive in his living area late that Tuesday night. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The Mahoning County Coroner is investigating the cause and manner of death, and his name had not been released as of the report.
