A man held at the Erie County jail in Perkins Township, Ohio, was found hanging in his cell with a bed sheet on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. Erie County Sheriff Paul Sigsworth said the death was an apparent suicide. He was pronounced dead at Firelands Regional Medical Center. The sheriff's office said an autopsy and investigation are pending.
