Clairsville, Ohio, after testing positive for COVID-19. Belmont County Health Department Deputy Director Robert Sproul reported a death at the prison in May 2020, the second from the virus there. The prison had become a COVID-19 hot spot in the state's prison system, and state officials announced new screening, sanitation and quarantine measures there. Concern grew as cases spread among prison staff and the people held there.
