A 43-year-old man died on February 13, 2022, after being held at the Richland County jail in Ohio. The Richland County Sheriff's Office said that on a Friday afternoon he was found in a jail shower with a sheet around his neck, and that deputies took him to a hospital in Mansfield. He died there on Sunday. The sheriff's office said it is still investigating how he died and has not yet determined the manner of death.
