A 19-year-old man from Temperance, Michigan, was found unresponsive in his cell at the Monroe County Jail on the evening of April 18, 2022, around 8 p.m., according to the sheriff's office. The sheriff's office withheld his name, and it said the death is being investigated by its detective bureau and the Michigan Sheriffs' Association MISSION team, which will conduct an independent third-party review. No cause or manner of death has been announced.
