A 36-year-old man was held at the Dickinson County Correctional Facility in Iron Mountain, Michigan, when, according to the jail's news release, he injured himself on January 6, 2019. He was taken to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital and then transferred to a medical facility in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he died on January 14. The jail said the incident is under internal review. The sheriff's office said his name has not been released at the family's request.
