A 57-year-old man died in a cell at the 120th Precinct police station lockup on Staten Island in the early hours of Friday, April 19, 2013. He was found hanging from a belt in his cell and taken to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The New York City Medical Examiner's office ruled the death a suicide. The NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau opened an investigation into the death.
