A man died of cardiovascular disease while held at the Onondaga County jail in New York, in 2021 or 2022. Reporting says medical staff did not treat him even though his blood pressure readings indicated a hypertensive crisis. A state investigation found that several medical workers at the jail were not licensed to practice in New York during his incarceration.
