A 32-year-old woman died at the Franklin County Jail in Malone, New York, in the early morning of Sunday, January 7, 2024. Sheriff Jay D. Cook said she was found unresponsive in her bed. The sheriff's office said the preliminary investigation revealed nothing suspicious, while the New York State Police and the attorney general's office are investigating. An autopsy was performed in Glens Falls, and results are pending toxicology reports. Her name had not been released.
