A man held at the Cayuga County jail in New York was found unresponsive there on Thanksgiving Day, 2022, and taken to a hospital. He was pronounced dead the following day, November 25. Sheriff Brian Schenck's office said it is cooperating with a state Attorney General investigation and conducting its own internal review.
