The Washoe County Sheriff's Office said a person held at the Washoe County Detention Facility was taken to a local hospital around 10 a.m. on November 10, 2024, for a medical issue. Their condition worsened within hours despite lifesaving measures, and they died that afternoon. The Sheriff's Office said there was no indication of self-harm, foul play or criminal activity, and the Regional Medical Examiner's Office is investigating the cause and manner of death.
