A 56-year-old man held at the Caddo Correctional Center in Louisiana was found unresponsive in his cell during a welfare check in the early morning of July 27, 2024. Deputies and medical staff performed life-saving measures until the Shreveport Fire Department arrived and took him to Willis Knighton North, where he was pronounced dead.
