A man held at State Correctional Institution Laurel Highlands, a Pennsylvania state prison, died of COVID-19 in November 2020, according to the Inquirer's December 2020 report. He was one of eight men from the prison who died that month, during an outbreak that infected more than half of the prison's population. The report describes the prison as housing many of the state's oldest and sickest men.
