A person held at the El Dorado Correctional Facility in Kansas died in late April 2019. The Kansas Department of Corrections said contraband drugs could have been involved, but the substances had not been identified. Autopsy and laboratory results were still pending, and the Kansas Department of Corrections and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation were investigating the death.
