Tyson J. Alvares
Tyson J. Alvares, 38, of Smithfield, Utah, was remembered by a lifelong friend as someone who was always there for people and would give anyone the shirt off his back. She described him as a loving brother and son, and said his family is mourning him. He collapsed in a holding cell at the Lincoln County Jail in Kemmerer, Wyoming, on July 25, 2026, about 50 minutes after he was brought in for booking. The sheriff's office said detention officers found him not breathing and could not revive him. No cause or manner of death has been released, and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating.
