Tyler Mraz
Tyler Mraz, 23, of Eustis, died in September 2017 while held at the Lake County Jail in Tavares, Florida. The Lake County Sheriff's Office says he was found hanging in his cell, that he was not on suicide watch and had no disciplinary problems, and that he died later at a hospital after being found unconscious the morning after his arrest. His father, Ray Mraz, says Tyler was going through withdrawal the night he died and that the jail had no established detox protocol for drug users at the time. Detectives are investigating, and Ray Mraz says the family wants to prevent another parent from losing a child the same way.
