Tyler Butler
Tyler Butler, 25, died in April 2010 on his fourth day in the Hopkins County jail in Kentucky. A federal appeals court opinion describes jail nurses not responding to his worsening condition, and says he was found without a pulse before an ambulance was summoned. The county coroner pronounced him dead. His mother's lawsuit against the jail's health care contractor was still pending as of the reporting, and the claims in it have not been decided.
