Tucker
Tucker was held at the jail in Glasgow, Missouri. The New Orleans Daily Crescent reported in September 1857, citing an unnamed account, that a crowd gathered at the jail and broke in intending to lynch him. The paper said that before the crowd reached him, he hanged himself with a towel while they were pounding on the door. The report gives no account from jail or county officials.
