Trisha L. Powell, 39, of Sturgis, died on July 24, 2009, while held at the Union County Jail in Union County, Kentucky. A deputy jailer found her unresponsive in her cell during a routine check. Kentucky State Police investigators said the death could be a suicide by hanging, while the autopsy at the state medical examiner's office and the state police investigation were still pending.
