Treyvon Littles

25 years old · died August 11, 2022 · D.C. Jail, District of Columbia County, District of Columbia

Treyvon Littles, a 25-year-old Black man, was the father of a 6-year-old son and a twin with five other siblings. His mother described him as an outgoing child and an excellent dancer who performed in out-of-town competitions, and said he had matured and was committed to staying out of trouble. He died in August 2022 while held in the D.C. Jail's custody; jail staff said they found him unresponsive in his cell, and he died at a hospital. Corrections department reports say the D.C. medical examiner's office attributed his death to the combined toxic effects of fentanyl and N,N-Dimethylpentylone and ruled it an accident, while other reporting said the cause and manner were still pending and his mother, awaiting the autopsy report, demanded answers and retained an attorney.

Cause of death, as reported: Died of an overdose. The D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the death an accident caused by combined toxic effects of fentanyl and N,N-Dimethylpentylone.

Reported by: D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (medical examiner or coroner).
