Trevor Allen Lewis
Trevor Allen Lewis died on June 10, 2023, while held at the Telford Unit, a Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison in Bowie County, according to a Texas Office of the Attorney General custodial death report. A later Texarkana Today report said authorities allege that another person held at the Barry Telford Unit in New Boston strangled him with a cord. A Bowie County grand jury and prosecutors have pursued the case, which is now assigned to a district judge. The allegation has not been tested in court.
