Trent Toline
Trent Toline, 46, was found unresponsive in his cell at the Douglas County Department of Corrections in Nebraska on March 25, 2020. According to the department, corrections staff and the Omaha Fire Department tried to save him, but he was pronounced dead at Nebraska Medicine at 12:44 p.m. The department said a grand jury investigation was pending and that it would make no further comment until it was resolved. A later report says a grand jury found no probable cause that a crime was committed in connection with his death.
Cause of death, as reported: Cause not yet determined. Douglas County Department of Corrections staff found him unresponsive in his cell, and no cause of death has been reported.
