Travis Welde
Travis Welde, a 31-year-old man from Loomis, died in the Sacramento County jail system on August 4, 2019. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, through spokeswoman Sgt. Tess Deterding, said correctional staff classified the death as medical. The sheriff's office acknowledged the death only after a Sacramento Bee reporter contacted it, and it denied a public records request about what happened.
