Travis Smith
Travis Smith, 31, died at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center in Augusta, Georgia, on December 24, 2020. According to a Richmond County Sheriff's Office news release, deputies found him unresponsive around 8:15 a.m. and pronounced him dead at 10 a.m. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the sheriff's internal affairs division are investigating, and Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen sent his body for autopsy. The cause and manner of his death have not been determined.
