Tonya Williams
Tonya Ann Williams died on April 7, 2024, while held at the Smith County Jail in Tyler, Texas. According to the Smith County Sheriff's Office, she had a medical emergency on the second floor of the jail and died at a hospital early that Sunday morning. The sheriff's office said the Texas Rangers would investigate and an autopsy would be conducted in Dallas. The Texas Office of the Attorney General's custodial death report also lists her death.
