Tony Lewis
Tony Lewis was just 19 when he was found unresponsive in his cell at the Montgomery City Jail in January 2015 and pronounced dead at Jackson Hospital. His family's attorney said the family was told Tony had been struggling to breathe, and that a nurse said he was "faking" and gave him a shot to calm him. Montgomery police said the cause of death was unknown, and the State Bureau of Investigation looked into what happened. His family believed negligence cost him his life.
