Tommy Glenn Jones died on September 19, 2013, while held at the Anderson County Jail in Palestine, Texas, according to a custodial death report from the Texas Office of the Attorney General. A local news report said a man held in solitary confinement at the jail was found unresponsive in his cell that day and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
