Tom Taylor

Tom Taylor, a Black man, was held in the jail at Franklin, Tennessee, according to a wire report from Franklin dated April 30, 1891. The report says a mob attacked the jail on the night of April 29, overpowered the sheriff and took the keys, then led him to a covered bridge, where they hanged him and riddled his body with bullets.
