Tom Savage
Tom Savage was in the custody of a sheriff's posse in Choctaw County, Alabama, around December 27, 1891, when the posse was escorting him, along with Bob Sims and a younger Savage, toward Butler. According to a New Orleans newspaper dispatch, a mob overpowered the posse, took the three men, and hanged them. Official accounts of how the mob took the men are not given here. Savage's death is recorded in a single newspaper account.
