Tom Pearoy
Tom Pearoy, a Black man, was held in the custody of officers in Brownsville, Tennessee. On the night of April 19, 1904, unknown men took him from the officers holding him. The Paducah Sun reported on April 29, 1904, that he had not been seen since and that he was undoubtedly lynched. The paper did not say whether the officers resisted or handed him over.
Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched. A newspaper dispatch reported that unknown men took Tom Pearoy from the officers holding him in Brownsville, Tennessee, and that he was undoubtedly lynched.
