Toby James White
Toby James White, 31, of Milton, died on March 13, 2025, while held at the Santa Rosa County Jail in Florida. The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office said detention deputies found him unresponsive in his cell during a routine inspection, and that he was pronounced dead at about 2:56 p.m. The sheriff's office says he was housed alone, was not on any special status watch, and showed no prior signs of suicidal intent. The cause and manner of his death remain pending, and the Major Crimes Unit is investigating the circumstances.
