Tobias Johnson, a man from Memphis, died at Northeast Correctional Complex, a state prison near Johnson City in East Tennessee, on May 16, 2018. The Tennessee Department of Corrections said he died on Wednesday, and prison officials said the death appears to be a suicide. Officials said an autopsy would be performed as standard practice.
