Timothy Marcus was held at the Boone County Jail work camp in Burlington, Kentucky, when he died of an overdose. Boone County deputies said drugs smuggled into the work camp over about a month caused the fatal overdose. A later federal court case over that smuggling, as reported by WCPO, named carfentanil among the drugs involved.
