Timothy Johnson
Timothy Johnson, 40, died on August 3, 2024, while held at St. Clair Correctional Facility in Springville, Alabama. The Equal Justice Initiative reports that he had been assaulted repeatedly while held there and was placed in solitary confinement after coming off suicide watch. A post-death toxicology screen, as the Equal Justice Initiative reports, found antipsychotic medication, a synthetic cannabinoid and fentanyl in his system. The Alabama Department of Corrections did not authorize an autopsy and reported no cause of his death.
