Timothy Adams, 59, of East Fairfield, died on November 3, 2017, at Vermont's Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield. He had been held at a Pennsylvania prison and was moved back to Vermont after his cancer was judged incurable, so he could receive hospice and palliative care. Vermont Deputy Corrections Commissioner Mike Touchette said officials could not confirm his diagnosis or cause of death because of medical privacy rules. The Defender General said Adams had been treated for cancer, and an advocate said he had not received much treatment in Pennsylvania.
