Thornhill
Thornhill was held in the jail in Sabine County, Louisiana, together with another person, Fields. On the night of November 18, 1880, an armed crowd took Thornhill and Fields out of the jail. Their bodies were found the next morning about half a mile below town, both shot through the head. A coroner's jury did not determine who did the killing.
