Thomas Nobville

Mobile County, Alabama

Thomas Nobville, a Black man, was hanged at Mobile, Alabama, in a judicial execution reported by the Griggs Courier in July 1895. A national news roundup in The L'Anse Sentinel the following day also reported his hanging at Mobile. The Griggs Courier account describes his name only in garbled form, so the spelling in that report is uncertain.

Reported by: brief roundup of national news.
