Thomas LaPerch
Thomas LaPerch, 27, died on July 22, 2018, after he was hurt in a fight with another person held at the Colorado State Penitentiary in Cañon City. The Colorado Department of Corrections said that medical staff treated him and took him to an area hospital, where he did not respond to treatment and was pronounced dead. The department attributed his death to injuries from the fight and is investigating; it has not identified the other person or said whether weapons were involved.
