Thomas Jason Holland
Thomas Jason Holland, 28, was found unresponsive in his cell at the Brunswick County Detention Center in North Carolina in the early morning hours of July 23, 2014. The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office said he died of an apparent suicide. The State Bureau of Investigation was asked to investigate the death, and the sheriff's office's Office of Professional Standards opened a separate review, which officials said early on found no sign of foul play or policy violation.
