Thomas Green
Thomas Green, 66, of Selden, New York, was known as "Grandpa" on his block. He died of cancer on September 26, 2013, at Stony Brook University Medical Center, after a court set aside his case and released him on bail. His attorney, Ronald Kuby, says the cancer went untreated and undetected during the years Green spent in prison, and blames prosecutors for his death. The Suffolk County district attorney's office did not immediately comment.
