Thomas Brown
Thomas Brown was about 26 years old when he was hanged at the Clay County jail in Moorhead, Minnesota, on September 20, 1889, where he was being held. A 2021 InForum report says that in 1888 a crowd of about 500 men searched the jail for him, and that Sheriff Jorgen Jensen hid him and kept him safe. Shortly before his death, he is reported to have said that his family knew nothing about him and that he did not want them to know.
