Thomas Badger
Thomas Badger, 42, died on January 23, 2019, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire, after falling from a second-tier railing at Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield, Vermont. The Vermont Department of Corrections described the death as an apparent suicide and said video and staff observations showed the fall was not accidental. The department said he had shown no prior signs of distress that would have led to a suicide watch. The Vermont State Police are investigating, and the defender general said it was the third such incident on the same tier in two weeks.
