Theodore "Ted" Kaczynski
Theodore Kaczynski, a mathematician who skipped two grades, entered Harvard at 16 and earned a doctorate in mathematics at the University of Michigan, according to news accounts. A source told ABC News that he had been moved to the federal medical center in Butner, North Carolina, in December 2021 because of poor health. According to a Bureau of Prisons spokesperson, he was found unresponsive in his cell early on June 10, 2023, and was pronounced dead around 8 a.m. A source told ABC News the death was being investigated as a suicide, but no official cause of death had been announced.
