Thed Burton
Thed Burton was held in the jail at Belle Green, Alabama. According to a Cincinnati dispatch printed in the Evening Bulletin in February 1882, a mob took him from the jail and killed him by lynching. The dispatch does not say how the mob gained entry or whether jail officers resisted, gave up the keys, or handed him over.
