Terry Lyn Short
Terry Lyn Short, 47, was put to death by lethal injection at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary on June 17, 2008. The Oklahoma Department of Corrections said he was pronounced dead at 6:08 p.m. His sister, Trina Hartshorn, said they had good conversations before the execution and that he had peace with God. It was the state's first execution since August 21, after executions had been paused nationally while the U.S. Supreme Court considered a challenge to the lethal injection procedure.
