Terran Burt
Terran Burt was 21 years old and from Huntsville, Alabama. In early October 2020 he was knocked unconscious by another man held at the Madison County Jail, and he died that evening, October 9, at Huntsville Hospital. The sheriff's office said it was investigating his death as a murder. His mother, who was fighting cancer herself, was left to bury him, and his brother, held in the same jail, told a judge he was deeply grieving.
Cause of death, as reported: Killed by another person in custody. The Madison County Sheriff's Office says he was knocked unconscious in a fight with another inmate, and his brother's attorney said he believed it was a gang attack.
