Teresa Garcia
Teresa Garcia, 50, died on December 21, 2023, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas, while in the custody of the Odessa Police Department. Officers had taken her to the hospital for medical care before she was to be booked into the Ector County jail. The Odessa Police Department said she became unresponsive at the hospital and died, and it attributed her death to medical difficulties. The Texas Rangers are investigating, and the department said it will file a report with the Attorney General's office.
